I really wish this year could be a year of travels for our family. For now we really don’t have the budget to go on a holiday anywhere outside Bangkok because we are saving up for our house transfer by the end of next month.
But who knows, right? Sometimes trips and travels just come as surprises. We have experienced that so many times so I guess it’s still safe to at least think about it– and if possible, get excited!
So where do I want to go? Our family back home wants us to be there for a summer break, but that is not yet confirmed. I would be happy to just go to a beach summer down south if that’s all we could afford. When I think of trips down south I can’t help but wish there are RVs for rent here in Thailand.
For now it’s not that popular, but I am sure it will be in no time. It ‘s also important that they would have motor home repairs because engine troubles could happen anytime while on the road.
Ok, I will just brace myself for this so-called year of travels. Well, let’s just see at the end of the year if our wishes did come true!

I blogged about packing for a trip– it was a bit stressful, but unpacking is equally tiring. Today I just finished a bunch of laundry, and I just got so lazy putting back our toiletries, unused and clean clothes back to the closet. Tsk… I am still having a hang over from the holidays. I have to awaken the Domestic Diva in me! Get those stuff out of the bag and start working. Reality bites! Ouch..
I love to travel. Meeting new friends, seeing new sights, eating unfamiliar food, hearing new sounds excite me. There is only one thing I do not like about traveling, though… it is packing up.
See, I am not a very detailed person, and packing up requires details. My hubby, on the other hand, is a certified expert. With 9 years of marriage, he has come to accept that I detest packing up so what I do before a trip is just to put on the bed whatever it is that I want to bring and he would be kind enough to stuff them in… and make sure all the tiny things like toothbrushes, dental floss are also packed. It has always been like that for years. But now, with Joey’s recent ear surgery and trigger finger operation, I found myself doing everything– including carrying the bags to the taxi!
I may have forgotten some things, but I got everything we needed. The space in the bags were not maximized, though. Hmmm.. things like this happen to spoiled wives like myself. But all in all, I think I did a good job! It’s always good to improve and learn new things. But the honest truth is… I do not want to do the packing again next trip. LOL.
